Keith Moon - a picture from the past

Keith Moon was born on 23 August 1946.

Here, he is pictured in 1964,

when the band he had joined that year

changed their name to the High Numbers.

After one flop single,

they reverted to their previous name, the Who.

The rest is chart-topping,

hotel smashing, wild man of rock history.

Moon died at the age of 32

at his home in London.
