Associated Newspapers has put together a plan to launch

a free lunchtime version of the London Evening Standard

in an effort to boost sales of the troubled title.

To understand why this failure persists,

America is a religion : US leaders now see themselves
as priests of a divine mission to rid the world of its demons,
