In March 2012,

reports of a hunger strike at Guantánamo Bay,

the US detention camp in Cuba, began to surface.


Details were sketchy and were contradicted

by statements from the US military.


Now, using testimony from five detainees,

this animated film reveals the daily brutality

of life inside Guantánamo.


Today there are 17 prisoners still on hunger strike,

16 of whom are being force-fed.


Two are in hospital.

continue their protest.


More than 40 of them are being force-fed.


A leaked document sets out the military instructions,

or standard operating procedure, for force-feeding detainees.

experiences the procedure.

WikiLeaks has released a classified US military video

depicting the indiscriminate slaying of over a dozen people

in the Iraqi suburb of New Baghdad

-- including two Reuters news staff.


Reuters has been trying to obtain the video

through the Freedom of Information Act,

without success since the time of the attack.


The video,

shot from an Apache helicopter gun-site,

clearly shows the unprovoked slaying

of a wounded Reuters employee and his rescuers.


Two young children involved in the rescue

were also seriously wounded.
