‘I’ve been driving 30 years. I haul office furniture out to the west coast and produce back to Michigan … just back and forth. I just drive and I’m cool with that. I haul produce, but don’t eat much of it. I’m not a foodie, I eat to survive. I don’t really care for vegetables … my refrigerator is full of Mountain Dew! I’m at the point where if my family don’t get it when I say, “Sorry I’m not gonna be home Tuesday like I said I was going to be” ... then they don’t know me well’

‘I’ve been out here 50 years. Even got a truck-stop named after me. I currently drive high security, my trailer is lined with Kevlar. At 64 they gave me a gun and taught me how to use it. Never seen one before in my life. It’s a good job and I earn good money. I have a partner but, to be real honest with you, if he went away it wouldn’t bother me. I’m perfectly capable of taking care of myself. When I can’t drive I don’t want to exist anymore. When I can’t do this or be a part of it .. I’m done’

‘In 2016 I was voted most beautiful truck driver by Overdrive magazine and that same week I was diagnosed with breast cancer.
Right away, I decided on a bilateral mastectomy without reconstructive surgery.
I knew I did not want to have reconstructive surgery.
I turned down chemo and radiation.
I decided to do it my way like I do everything in my life.
After you have kids, you no longer need your breasts.
I can sleep flat on my stomach, I can run better, I can fit sideways through pallets ... and I’m getting more phone numbers thrown at me than ever in my life!’

‘It’s been a long journey for me. I had lupus. It started 17 years ago and attacked my kidney.
Seven years ago I had a kidney transplant but last year I got a call to say that my transplanted kidney was not doing good.
I had to go back on dialysis and on the kidney transplant list for another kidney.
It’s an automatic seven-year wait, and there’s no guarantee I’ll get one.
My best bet is a live donor.
I’m looking for a type O kidney. Everyone has been wonderful passing out the message, just sharing my post all over. We’re hoping that it will come soon’
