before fleeing France

ahead of the German advance

with her husband,

Marcel Dalio.

 

Mr. Dalio,

who was Jewish,

was known throughout France

for his performances in

“The Rules of the Game,”

“Grand Illusion”

and “Pépé le Moko.”
