Sauf exceptions (showed, sewed), les irréguliers ne prennent pas -ed au passé temporel :
ce sont des rebelles, ils n'ont pas la même tête, ils n'en font qu'à leur tête !

pour parler du passé, on utilise le passé temporel actif ou passif.
actif (= voie active)
un verbe au passé temporel a toujours la même forme, quelle / quel que soit la personne / le pronom :
I took..
You took...
He took...
She took...
We took...
You took...
They took...
passé temporel actif = 1 mot
They took him to the hospital.
